Brain Booster Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup

    Frozen berries

  • 1 cup

    Leafy greens

  • 1 tsp

    Coconut oil or MCT oil

  • 1/2 tsp

    Nut butter

  • 1/2 in

    Turmeric

  • 1/4 cup

    Walnuts

  • 1/2 cup

    Nut milk

Preparation

Instructions:


Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until you have achieved the desired consistency. Drink the smoothie within 30 minutes so it doesn't lose potency.



More about the ingredients:


Berries can improve your memory and cognitive function.  Resveratrol and polyphenols found in berries help regulate stress, and improve cerebral blood flow. They also help increase BDNF production.

 

Leafy greens contain Folate(Vitamin B9) and phytonutrients which help support your serotonin production.

 

Nuts help preserve fatty acids. Walnuts in particular have a significantly high concentration of DHA.

 

Curcumin in turmeric is also known as a polyphenol boosting BDNF production. It can potentially help with many brain diseases associated with aging.

 

Coconut oil contains medium-chain triglycerides aka MCT which can improve your brain cells function.
